Debra Friedman is the founder and managing member of Friedman Law Group LLC Olney, MD. Debra has more than 30 years of experience representing residential builders and developers, businesses, and commercial and residential landlords. She manages real estate and business transactions, from the complex to the simple, from inception, to contract negotiations through closing. Ms. Friedman is a trusted business advisor, providing counsel to clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions, and business matters, including formation, compliance, employment matters, and day-to-day operations. She also routinely represents commercial and residential landlords in landlord/tenant matters. Ms. Friedman’s clients include regional and local builders, residential developers, real estate brokers, business organizations, property managers, commercial landlords, residential landlords, and home buyers and sellers. 


Prior to attending law school, Ms. Friedman worked in retail banking where she held several positions, including Branch Manager and Manager of Training and Employment. As Manager of Training and Employment, she developed and implemented the bank’s recruiting program and created and delivered training programs to develop staff and management and ensure bank compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

In her free time, Ms. Friedman engages in community service through the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, provides mentorship to new lawyers, and enjoys travel.
